Kevin was married to the sister of a very close friend of mine. As you can imagine, he and his family are devastated and in shock at the moment. He leaves behind a 5 year old daughter, Emily. I helped out yesterday by looking after her for a couple of hours - she played some games with my two children and it seemed to take her mind off things for a while at least, although I really don't think its sunk in yet. How can she possibly comprehend something like this at such a young age ?
I didn't know Kevin all that well, but on the occasions when we met, he was friendly, down to earth, and always chatting about football and the Albion.
I had no idea there would be a thread on here about Kevin - I didn't realise so many people on here knew him. In the days to come, I will mention it to my friend to see if he'd like me to print this thread (he's not on the internet himself). Your messages of condolences may go in some small way towards comforting the family he has left behind.
