Love him or hate him, but from what I've seen of Terry in an England shirt is a good captain. He has all the right crudentials. Yes, he cheats. All captains cheat. Born winners are often very good cheaters. Take Forster as an example.

I agree with this; he is a good leader of men. The problem is that it's guaranteed him a place in the England team. For me, personally, the manager should put out the best XI, then pick the best leader in that team to be the captain. Making a player captain first is, IMO, completely the wrong way to go about it.
