Wasn't arsed about Buonanotte but quite sad about this. Was really looking forward to seeing him play. Unless we are certain of Ferdi coming in we suddenly look light at left back / wing back.
He simply wasn't going to play much when Pervis is fit. With Ferdi as presumed backup on the left this makes sense for everyone. He is still very young.

Yeah I get the maths. On a personal level it's just sad to see a player you were looking forward to see leave. He's an off your seat player from the cameos I've seen.

We were already light, now we look anaemic.
I lose count of who we have available (injuries , new signings, loaned out etc).

But perhaps someone can enlighten me as to who we currently have fit and ready to play in the back four and keeper positions as I think we are really short here ?

Really sorry if he goes. Exciting player who I enjoyed watching every time he played. What are we doing?
Short-term pain for what is hopefully long-term gain. It is what we do, where we can. He hopefully plays week in, week out for a season and hey-presto next season we have a what feels like a ready made 'new signing'.

Its difficult for us fans, we are now a club who will either sell or loan players that are really good quality and to me it feels strange but it is a measure of how far we have come.

Transfer windows and dealings at this great club are no longer just signings for the coming season, we spend multi millions on future prospects, who would of thought it?

So for context, this comment was NOT specifically about Barco. The question was 'are there going to be more outgoings, we know Sima is off to Brest, and rumours about Barco leaving, are there others who will leave?'. Fab then answered that they are always transparent with players, they communicate openly, and try and do what's best for their development, and then said the comment above. It was clearly not directed at Barco specifcally.
Thank you for that.
Unless at the presser or it’s fully recorded we never get the full context. Good to hear 👍

Hope I’m wrong but RDZ wanted Barco shipped out and now FH is shipping him out. He has looked good enough to me to be in the frame to play regularly. If he is demanding first team football then shipping him out is the best option. I can’t help feeling that after a year at a bigger club than Albion, we are unlikely to see him in the stripes again.

Can’t win them all but I really really like Barco but maybe he is a young prima donna and we made a big effort to bring him here so maybe he expected something different to how it’s working out

We are likely to be without my three of my favourite players this year in Gilmour, Barco and Facundo

OR - he wanted to bring in Kadioglu and with Estupinan coming back - had a chat with Weir / Greer along lines of whats best for Barco in terms of his development and games time. Hence loan for 12 months and then back at BHAFC. Not sure how that necessarily means he's going to be sold / not play again . Depends on how he copes in La Liga. But we didn't want him knocking around the subs bench for a year, and he's on a long contract and still only 19.

True, who knows, just a gut feeling from me. We have no idea if Pervis will come back as last year’s version, which wasn’t great or the season before though. I’d like us to have hung on until the last moment to ship him out and give him some PL game time. I doubt he would have been as ineffective as Hinshelwood against Everton though and was surprised he didn’t play. And no I do not believe he was injured. Decision made about shipping him out before the Everton game, just imo.

Done a Frexit, now in London
He's one I was looking forward to watching develop this season and this seems an odd one from the outside but I don't know what's going on internally. Hopefully doesn't come to bite us in the ass
