Lack of faith in Ferguson and Moder?

Moder is being bought back slowly but surely form a huge injury, I’d say so far he’s getting complete faith from the manager.
Moder has been fit for a few months now. RDZ doesn’t rate him. That will be backed up by minimal game time between now and the end of the season.

We’ve all seen how pivotal Moder was before his injury.

Just a personal opinion.

Judged on what basis? All of them aren’t being given decent runs in the side?

Baleba granted is raw and untested, but we know what Moder and Ferguson are capable of. They need minutes. Ferguson is the future, Fati isn’t.

Ferguson’s started plenty of games in recent months where he tried, but just wasn’t at the races. Carrying an undisclosed injury?

Ferguson is injured
Thanks for pointing that out 🤷🏼‍♂️

I’m suggesting we will see more of Fati than we will Ferguson between now and the end of the season. Ferguson is our future, Fati is back to Barca in the summer.

Remind me how long it took Mac Alister to settle into the side? Baleba’s just turned 20….and you’re writing him off already
Happy to be wrong mate, and be reminded if so. But I just can't see it. I thought Mac would be fine.

Baleba would (and might still) benefit from a loan. He’s suffered as a consequence and probably been thrown in a little earlier than everyone would have liked.

Reality is we had a huge void to fill and couldn’t afford him the normal development path as a result.

The lad is 20. He will come good, I genuinely hope his development is assisted with a decent loan next season and we recruit some experience in midfield over the summer.

Back to discussing Barco - I’m sold - Barco has shown me in 10 debut minutes that he is both physically strong and confident enough to cope with EPL. Given our injuries, I think it will be another case of a player breaking through and bedding in very quickly because the opportunity will be there. It seems he generates trust around him from his teammates too who were more than happy to involve him. Clearly a versatile player - reminds me a bit of Hinsh. He could be useful to help cover some minutes for Gilmour and Mitoma.

The one big plus about tonight’s match - I’m more excited about el Colo’s potential than I am disappointed we are out of the FA. Awful finishing, and some poor decision making by Adingra, Steele and a few others, combined with Wolves parking the bus - a typical ‘losing game‘ for us - not sure having Mitoma would have made a lot of difference tbh. I think we missed Gilmour more than Mitoma.

But now we can focus on the League and Europe

I'm not quite on the Baleba's Not Up To It Train, but I'm hanging around the ticket office.
Not that I have any sort of reputation for judging football players to be risking here. :lolol:
Well, quite. I can recognise a future England cricketer from their cries in the cradle. Football, I might as well be blind.

Most chances created in the game?

Certainly made better decisions than Adingra tonight.

If RDZ thinks he's not yet ready, I can only assume the Italian wants to coach him out of delivering a quick ball into the box. One touch and then a dangerous ball into the penalty area - we looked more threatening than we had all game.

Our problem isn't fannying around at the back, it's fannying around at the front.
The problem with Brighton, is that they want to walk it in….

I love RDZ but sometimes he sounds like he’s starting to believe his own hype. These comments about Barco not being ready and understanding our system. Hes being playing at a high level all season I’m sure he could adapt to a high left attacking position pretty quickly.

I totally understand centre backs and centre midfielders needing time to adapt but from what saw last night Barco is a genuine option for at least 45 mins v Fulham and/or Forest.

RDZ has this agenda with the club that we didn't sign any ready made players in January and won't back down from this.

Which is why we are getting these silly comments about barco not being ready. At least he's playing him though and this talk will subside.

I can only marvel at how you have access to the inner mind and can read the personal agenda of our manager.

A more measured assessment is that RDZ's comment implied that Barco hadn't played in the EPL, and RDZ considered it would be naïve to think he would simply slot into our system. However, last night needs must, and it would appear Barco may be closer than RDZ thought. But one match, of course, provides only an indication.

No need for RDZ having an agenda with the club. Just because you have an agenda with the club doesn't mean everyone does

Go back and look at the many interviews RDZ has conducted stating that he is not happy with the business done in January and his expectations of 3-4 signings Vs no ready made players. Also look at the sniffy comment he made when Barco was signed that Barco is "not a winger". Very much looked like Barco was playing on the wing last night !

Pull your head out of the sand if you genuinely think everything is hunky dory between our boss and the club at the moment.

Sand, you say. Hmmmmmm.

So either everything is absolutely fine, or RDZ wants out?

Have you ever heard of grey?
