I will do. Admittedly I just find him arrogant with his ‘as I reported 2 days ago’ shit when it’s usually appeared somewhere else beforehand. I’d be surprised if this deal was signed 4 days ago as he claims and not announced yet.

I also heard him on the phone to the Brentford fan and felt he was full of himself and rude. ‘I work 20 hours a day’ - no you don’t mate - you prob did that once and now use it as a line!

He completely messed up the supposed Lazar Samardzic transfer to Inter last summer. He was posting ‘done deal, as expected’ and all sorts. He even gave the transfer his official ‘here we go’ seal of approval/confirmation. The transfer did not go ahead and he no longer will report on Samardzic (he has not mentioned him this year). I suspect he was being used by the agent-Dad and being fed lies.

That’s the thing with Fab. Normally he has but one source for a transfer - that’s not proper journalism. He plays a high stake game to be first. It means he believes everything an agent tells him. Yes - he blacklists them if they lie to him but he has surely passed on agent lies to his loving twitterati public many times.

I still follow him though.

Everyone knew that - Fab tries to beat the others (having not broken the news) by saying it’s done when it’s obviously going to happen.. Thsts what annoys me and many. Actually agree with both of these. He’s not connected on all the deals he posts about - is ahead on some deals / players / clubs but not all.

Yeah that’s where my concerns are. The line from Bloom about everyone being fit in Feb seems to suggest that we don’t need anyone but it’s not just about numbers, in a number of areas we need to improve the quality available.

I never thought we would sign 3/4 but if we weren’t to give RDZ any reinforcements I’d imagine he would be pissed off.

Before the usual suspects jump in with ‘in Tony we trust etc’ it was RDZ who said publicly he ‘needs’ 3/4 not anyone on here.

Maybe so, and I appreciate I might be in the minority being a big RdZ fan myself.

The fact remains we have Tony almost entirely to thank for being in Europe, towards the top of the best league in the world, playing at the Amex, with a phenomenal squad of players we could never have dreamed of under any previous owner.

Managers will come and go, but my stock is firmly in Tony Bloom MBE. He has SO much credit in the bank that he could make endless blunders and still be a hero. Which of course, he won’t, as he’s incredibly savvy.

I personally think we need to add a left back and a central midfielder. If Barco stays that’s one, and we’ve been linked with several midfielders. If the price and the player is right, I can see us fulfilling this by the end of the month.

What we won’t do is go out and buy someone unnecessarily, eat into our reserves used to fund our weekly losses, and not see any benefit whatsoever in league standing or cup success.

Slow and steady, the churn of development and selling at highest possible price point is the strategy and will be forevermore.

Will be announced any day now - maybe today IMHO. Probably just the logistics of working out the social media reveal content and getting an hour with the player for photos etc. No insider information on this one, but Romano is always spot on in his factual tweets e.g such and such player “has signed”.

Where he fucks up is being used as agents mouthpiece to drive a transfer, rather than reporting exclusives.
