I’m hoping we can get the left footed RW understudy to March we were clearly after in the summer now that March is out long term.

We won’t sign a player for the sake of it but I just think that one of our long term targets could be available this window at an amount that offers good sell on value (Pedro level not Caicedo obviously).

We need an additional signing in Centre midfield. Baleba isn’t yet ready for PL as RDZ has said and Dahoud simply doesn’t look good enough and is clearly out of favour . That only leaves Gilmour and Gross which clearly isn’t enough.

Definitely need a job ready central midfielder. With one of the others potentially going on loan - possibly Moder. Although I'd happily see dahoud shipped out. Baleba can cover a number of roles and I think he'll come good eventually.

PS: Its not really speculation. Its a pretty good , in real time, coverage of mostly Argentinian and credible reporting. All the usual journos - whether national (SKy, Athletic) or local (Argus) etc in the UK have also confirmed that Brighton want the player, they are working on a deal, and its close.

Not sure that we've actually signed Mazilu yet - we had an agreement to sign him in the Jan window (when he turned 18) .
He's very unlikely to be pitched right into PL squad contention given his few games in the Romanian league compared to Barco who at 19 has already played in a Copa Libertadores final

I know we are a 4 at the back side and that this fits with all the patterns that RDZ has drilled into the players.

But I just look at this lad, if we sign him of course, and I just think he looks like such an obvious left wing back, as does Hinshelwood and next season Solly (and hopefully Lamptey) on the right side.

Pervis can compete with Igor for a place on the left of 3 centre backs and Valentin holds when Pervis marauds.

In fairness we've got Gross, Gilmour, Milner, Moder and Baleba (who I believe will come good,) so we are probably covered there. I'd like to see a winger come in as a replacement for Solly.
