At a guess I'd say Ian Brodie but I recall that Dream Academy were very posh.
*thinks of other posh musicians.
David Dundas?
Nope.

David Dundas?
Who wrote the song "I write the songs"?
Nope.
David Dundas was responsible for 'composing' the 4 notes used as the channel 4 ident music up to the 2001
D'oh! Am I on the right lines?
Not even close,
Here's one.
My mate Dean, originally from Cornwall, was the drummer for a band who looked like they might go somewhere. They had a day of the week as part of their name.
He was sacked, and replaced by a drum machine lolol and the renamed rest-of-band went on to become massive lolol
Name both bands.
Can I have a clue please? Also yes, David Dundas did sing that song. He's also a hereditary peer.
Likewise, can I have a clue please?
OK...My mate Dean joined BOB, and the day of the week in the original band's name was Wednesday. They were on Pink records, and did a rather winsome version of White Horses.
Jamie Wednesday! That's going back a bit. I think I know the band then - Carter USM.
Been done before I know but not for a while I don't think. I think the last time that we did this I hardly recognised any of the bands/artists being mentioned
At the time, Mick Jagger was often put forward as the person being referred to in the title of Carly Simon's single "You're so Vain"
In fact he was a backing singer on the record and can clearly be heard on the backing chorus, especially towards the end of the record.
Mick Jagger was on backing vocals on You're so Vain. Have a listen. Clearly Mick
He also did backing vocals for another huge number one from the 60s. Can you name it.
Who produced the song 'Life in a Northern Town.' back in 1985.
Out of Time by Chris Farlowe? All you Need is Love by The Beatles?
Out of Time by Chris Farlowe? All you Need is Love by The Beatles?
The first one I knew, didn't know about the second. I've a feeling you'll wipe the floor with me on any Stones related trivia!
Here's one from the 80s. Why did Eric Clapton get a credit on the Dire Straits 'Brothers In Arms' album despite not writing nor recording any of the songs?
Because Mark Knopfler was using Clapton's guitar.
