Uwe Rosler sacked. How many other managers have been axed after losing to us?

Amusing Thread, Just wondering if we get promoted. What would happen to all those longest serving managers.
I wonder where Arsene Wenger will go!.

It's good to see that Leeds have made another heavyweight appointment.

Tellingly, the BBC reports that Evans will be on a "rolling contract". Presumably so that if the football doesn't go too well, he can be immediately switched to pitch maintenance. I noticed several divots in need of flattening after Saturday.

Uwe Rosler won't be looking forward to playing Albion in future. Not only did he lose his job today following defeat to the Seagulls, but after losing to us last November when Wigan manager he survived one more game (a 3-1 defeat at Bolton) and was then sacked.

Bob Peeters was sacked by Charlton the day after we beat them 1-0 at the Valley in January.

Craig Brown at Preston.

Maybe Simon Grayson will echo history next Saturday.

Harsh decision - they looked decent against us and if they had not us the injury would almost certainly have taken at point

Quite right. You lose, with a bit of bad luck, against the top of the table team and then get the sack. Rosler is a decent manager and had his team well motivated against us. He certainly hadn't lost the dressing room.

Didn't Wolves sack Dean Saunders after they lost to us at the Amex a couple of years ago on the last day of the season and were relegated?

Ossie Ardilles, sacked a couple of days after we beat Newcastle 5-2, 92ish?
Im not sure about this, just a vague memory, I might not even have the score right, but didn't Keegan takeover then?

I think you must have had a rather vivid dream, as your post bears no relation to fact.

We have never beaten Newcastle 5-2; we did beat them 4-2 on Jan 16 1991 (the Brian Wade game), but Jim Smith was manager then and remained so until March 21.

The only time we played the Toon under Ardiles' stewardship was on December 14 1991, a 2-2 draw. Ardiles was replaced by Keegan on February 5 1992 (and we won 1-0 at St James' Park a month later).

Well, I said it was vague, just more vague than I imagined. My memory is not------------, what was i saying?

Only 9 wins last season? Might equal that by Saturday...

Sure we also beat Fulham last year though.

What will happen, if anything now Cellino's been disqualified again?

He has until the 28th October to appeal, and (obviously) he's already stated that he will. He'll be banned as a Director until June 2016, by which time the 12 months from his conviction will have elapsed.

That being the case, if the ban is upheld then maybe Evans will actually see the season out...although Cellino will probably still be secretly pulling the strings.

Carnage. But hugely amusing carnage :lolol:
