Agreed, ticks a lot of boxes. Things didn't go well at the beginning of this season but he didn't have an awful lot of time to turn it around given the good job he did there last season and Mackay is hardly pulling up trees since he's gone in there so may well be some unrest behind the scenes beyond his control.

He'd naff off at the first offer from a northern club.

You reckon? Brentford wasn't that far north.

I'm biased but I genuinely think he's a terrific bloke and excellent manager. I'd LOVE him to manage us.
