I'm getting quite pissed off with these constant negative threads. If you just do what it tells you to do it works perfectly.

i refer my honorable friend to the SOUTHAMPTON TICKETS thread and my experiences trying to pay by VISA last night

not really true though. i recently tried to buy tickets for the exeter game online onlyto be told that my fan number, that i had successfully used to buy tickets on previous occasions was invalid. checking and double checking confirmed that i was using the right number.

after contacting the club they resolved my problem, though curiously both my fan number and password are now completely different...

i wouldnt say that is a system working perfectly.

If you're doing a straw poll, then add me to the people unhappy. I'm sure I could make it work if I really wanted to, but I'm unlikely to try for a while.

First time, tried to choose a seat and the interactive seat choosing thing froze. So crashed it, tried again, all went fine until fan number. fan number? what the f*** was that? So phoned up the office, got a fan number, and bought the ticket over the phone.

Next game. Fan number, bollocks. Computer said, it was on my old ticket stubs, so 15 minutes later after rooting through my dustbins, couldn't find my Rochdale stub so called them again. Bought ticket over the phone.

Next game. Got fan number, got into system, went all the way to book when my Dad says he wants to come along. Fan number? My dad? having a laugh. So phoned up the ticket office again and bought two tickets.

Every time ticket office has been so simple, so easy, I can't see myself wanting to do it any other way. It was quicker doing it over the phone every time. And I can choose my seats by seeing what's available online.

For those of you who seem to have assumed that anyone that complains about the online ticketing system is some sort of Luddite pain in the a**e, it is actually NOT working. I now have all the details I need to add family and it won't let me log in with any of them. The ticket office has tried too and confirmed that's the case.. so it's not just me.

If people dont understand systems then it's usually because the system design is poor. I struggle with the online ticketing and I've been a systems analyst for the past 4 years.

Totally agree. The BHA Online ticketing system is not very user-friendly and I can see why people are getting frustrated with it.

That said I was able to get our three.

We are coming to get you . . . . :clap2:

The system is ok, but it does not make it clear as to who is and who is not entitled to purchase tickets, it could make it absolutely clear by saying only Gold members can apply now , followed by blue members on !!!!!, and white members on !!!!. Instead of letting you keep on going round in circles presuming that it is volume of traffic that is not letting you in.

The earlier comment about how the Albion have had ths system configured for them could be the most pertinent point here. Whether you are buying online or via the ticket office you need to have a fan number for every person you are buying for - whether they are 3 years old or 83. I can't believe there are many clubs that bother with that - it can't be a legal requirement - just something the club have decided to do.

Whilst it is extremely easy to get a Fan number issued surely it is a further barrier to the casual fan?

Where are all those apologist twats and their patronising arguments now eh? So the club themselves are struggling. Up yours apologists!!! Sideways!!!

Mine are finally sorted thanks to a very helpful guy in the ticket office who sorted out whatever was blocking the online account from logging in. Full marks for them but still 'nil points' for the internet site... I'm sure it'll work okay from now but it shouldn't take two days of trying and a couple of phone calls to get it working. And on top of that, these abstract fan number things are a huge disincentive to casual support.

Anyway, roll on St Mary's. Can't wait!

I'm still here, if you are refering to me being an apologist. WTF, how can you make such a comment, I had a little guidance, and I found out how to use the system, as do many others. The fact there is a problem with the software has got f*** all to do with you, me or the CLUB.

I hope the club will allow cash on the gate when Falmer opens, speaking to a number of one time regular supporters they all say that if they are unable to turn up and pay then there is no way they will return,as a number stated if the cinema or theatre would not allow cash payment on the day they would go elsewhere, football wise that means Sky or Virgin.

Yes, good one. Lets all shrug our shoulders. It's an act of god.

I've used the online ticketing system twice. Once to order my season ticket - no problems. Once to order a ticket for tomorrow's game v woking - no problems.

That's the major issue here. I've got no problem using the system but I'd class everyone I go with as die hard fans so we all put the effort in to all get signed up and linked, no problems.

If however you just want to go for a one off game of football or take a mate/relative who hasn't been before then the online system is pants, because you have to have a number.

The superfans on here refuse to accept that for alot of people that is unnessessary bother, along with all the form filling just to buy a ticket. Other clubs don't do it, if you want four tickets you can have them - thanks for your custom.
