... the club's online ticketing system is a joke. Trying to buy two tickets for Southampton for two season ticket holders. Even have the other person's fan number and postcode, but just seem to go around in circles. It's useless.

Right, so have you added them on friends and family and have they added you? If so should be simple, assuming you are both gold members

I've tried adding them. It's not happening as far as I can make out. As for them adding me, the whole reason I'm buying the tickets is because they're not really great with computers and pinning them down to go through the whole process isn't easy.

If you 'add' someone it means they can buy tickets for you, so to do it so you can buy THEM tickets, they need to add you. It does say this on the site

If you have their Fan no. and password you can go on as them to add them to you!

It is not that hard at all, very simple as I have just purchased 5 through friends and family

Just sign on to their account then... and add yourself!

I haven't got their password unfortunately - and can't get hold of them. I'll wait for the phone lines to open!

Standby for legions of supporters who have never paid less than a tenner to watch a football match to tell you how simple it is and you should be grateful to at least have the opportunity to purchase a ticket for our caring and technical advanced club and it's 21st century ticket buying procedure. (Non of which is fit for purpose BTW.) :wozza:

Stop being a twat.... in this case, it is clearly a misunderstanding of how it works / not being able to read the website. NOTHING to do with the system

I had registered but couldn't work out how to set up my two sons accounts as friends and family. Rang the ticket office and girl was really helpful. She registered my boys, linked me as friends and family. I then logged in, selected number of tickets and then use drop down box to select who each ticket is for.

Give them a call, however, you will need the other persons fan number.

This whole online ticketing moan up is baffling to me. Never had a problem and find it a pleasure to use as long as you READ what you need to do

Same, I have managed with it, as has 5 other friends. All linked up, all sorted, simples.

You have a point. Just using threads/posts on here as a guide people DO struggle with the system for a number of reasons. Assuming that these threads/posts are the tip of the iceberg I wonder how many non-NSC Albion fans find it 'really simple and easy to use' and how many have struggled and given it up as a bad job?

Expect to get shot down in flames by the usual apologists. [EDIT: And I see you have!]

PS - I don't use the on-line system myself as I resent paying the booking fee - which is an additional 20% for the Woking match!

If people dont understand systems then it's usually because the system design is poor. I struggle with the online ticketing and I've been a systems analyst for the past 4 years.
