The landlord is a tit but its their asset and their choice. We need to move to the scottish model. Anyway the charity repeats several times that they cant over pay, its the law etc. If the landlord has a 1.3m offer then thats not overpaying., unless they are insinuating they are lying. Or I'm missing something which is quite likely

Disgusting but ‘commercial’ I suppose. . A local charity I work very closely with has an equine therapy (hippotherapy) unit......it’s absolutely fantastic.

The charity will be a bit hamstrung by the valuations - if the ‘top’ independent valuation is 850k, the trustees wouldn’t/couldn’t sanction spending 1.3m. Without knowing the detail, it could be the valuation is simply ‘wrong’ (unlikely as they have 3 ?) or more likely a developer has stepped in and it’s worth a lot more to him when it’s got a few executive homes on the site so ‘normal’ valuations go out of the window.
