No I like Torres as well. I want him to succeed and especially wanted him to play well against the scum tonight. Oh well, hopefully they'll turn it around in the 2nd leg.

Can anybody explain what the f*** the point of the extra officials is, if they can't see that.
Not really bothered personally either way, but that was a cast iron penalty at the end, and Evra should have walked.

Quite a few empty seats.
That is usual for Chelsea home games
And you think that is Chelsea only? It will have been an official full attendance tonight, as you find with every other club in the country that have a full compliment of fans that are season ticket holders, not just Chelsea. The current top six or seven in the EPL are fully sold on STHs, but they have empty seats every week. What was the point again?

the empty seats are some stupid uefa rule, does anyone on here SERIOUSLY think that chelsea v utd in a champions league quarter final wouldnt sell out ?Most of the empty seats I saw (after all the late-comers had taken their seats) were at the very back of the stands.
I find it hard to believe either:
a) only the STH in the back rows were no shows.
b) people moved closer to the front and didn't sit in their seats.
If they were unsold seats then that's piss poor seeing as Real Madrid and Barca could get 90 odd thousand for their UCL home QFs.

those that watched on telly will be able to tell me if it was a penalty or not, certainly looked it from where i was
