What team holds the record for the fastest international goal, how long into the game was it, who was it against, and what was the final score?

Not that Bryan Robson 17 second job against France is it ?

Can't remeber what the final score was. Did we win 3-1 ?

Was it for Australia against that team they hammered 35-0 or something?

San Marino against us in the final World cup 94 qualifier, almost straight from kick off

Finished 7-1 when we had to win by 7 goals to get through

Not really cheating as was just searching for that Bryan Robson goal - which was actually scored on 27 seconds, not 17 seconds, and my memory was right as we did indeed win 3-1.

Did come across this on the same search though......so......was it this ?

Only thing I can think of is Spain, because he grew up there, and played for Barca...

I think he may have dual nationality with Spain, so it could be for them, or maybe someone like Andorra.

Close enough. The answer is Catalonia, which plays internationals but is not affiliated to either UEFA or FIFA. It is considered a 'national team' and plays international friendlies.

Jordi's goals for Catalonia came in wins over Barcelona (5-2) and Lithuania (5-0).

His dad Johan is the current manager of Catalonia.

Correct, he came on as a sub for Liverpool vs Roma in 1984. One of my proudest moments as an Albion fan as I was actually there.

Did Gary Stevens play for Spurs in the 1984 UEFA Cup final (vs a Belgian team?) or was he already crocked by then?

He played in both legs of the final, and scored the third penalty of the shoot-out.

Anderlecht were later to have found to have bribed the referee in the semi-final against Nottingham Forest.
