Disappointing we've not snapped him up and farmed him out to Belgium.

There will be no connection between the 2 clubs.

oh.

Be interesting to see what partnership he can strike up with Ross McCormack!
He'll be able to lift him over his garden wall if Ross gets locked in, again.

Looks a very similar style of play to Benteke , well apart from the scoring bit obviously

That would surely be the all-time classic big centre forward/small nippy centre forward partnership with little Percy!

Would add quite a few hundred to the gate at USG too, I would imagine.

I'm amazed he wasn't at least trialled by an NFL Side as a Wide Receiver, not many Corner Backs would fancy covering him!

Maybe he doesn't like the game or need the money?

The guy is 32 FFS. How many players make a success of a football career only starting at an age when most players are moving down the leagues? He must just be doing it for the fun of it and good luck to him

Maybe he can't catch or he values his health at his age.

Exactly. It's a bit of fun for him and fair play. Decent finish too.

About the pace thing as well, I remember reading an article in the late 90s where they tested the speed of the quickest football players over short distances compared to the top 100m sprinters of the time. In short bursts (15m, 20m etc) the likes of Overmars and Owen were quicker than the sprinters. I doubt that has changed.

36kph is 10 seconds for 100m.

On grass, in football boots.

The interesting bit in this story is how fat boy Ross McCormack who signed for Aston Villa for £12 million in 2016 is currently playing in the same team as Bolt in the Australian league.
How much of a come down is that for Ross?
(under contract with Villa until June 2020 on £2 million a year apparantly )

Don't know about Ross McCormack, but that sort of come down is one I'd grab with both hands any day of the week!
