I've now heard back from Falmer For All. They reckon it's a good idea to distribute postcards at some of the games on 6 March.
This is a very targeted campaign, aimed at specific MPs. The postcards will need to be handed out to constituents who agree to sign them. They will be pre-stamped and addressed to specific MPs - so it will be necessary to ensure that the signature comes from a supporter who lives in the relevant constituency.
The likelihood is that there will be about 25-30 postcards allocated to each game and that the Albion supporters will be asked to get them signed on the spot. It will then be up to the Albion volunteers to get them put in the post for delivery to the House of Commons.
The games that people are going to that are being played in Target Labour constituencies are these:-
Portsmouth v Arsenal
C Palace v Reading
Gillingham v Nottm Forest
Norwich v Ipswich (Sunday 7 March)
Rotherham v Bradford
Stoke City v Watford
West Brom v Coventry
West Ham v Walsall
Notts County v Plymouth
Rushden v Peterborough
Swindon v Brentford
Bury v Leyton Orient
Cambridge v Northampton
Oxford v Huddersfield
Swansea v Doncaster (Friday 5 March)
Stevenage Borough v Woking
AFC Wimbledon v Cobham
How we get the postcards to the NSC volunteers is now exercising the combined brain power of the FFA team.
If ANYONE knows students in halls of residence, in Loughborough, Derby, or Nottingham, get them to write in with ALL of their colleagues names and addresses and post-codes - there are hundreds of possible supporters with the same post-codes all living in the labour constituencies listed above !!
