Gareth, people should not expect to use NSC as a vehicle for their (or in this case) their friends cause, many people will have views of there own about it al, and in all honesty the guy is a newspaper editor, I would think he could use his influence in more beneficial places above and beyond a football message board!

He had 10 days to appeal & missed it blaming some confusion about 'working days'...can we ask what did he do for every one of the first 8 days that was more important that sending off an appeal in 'next day registered mail'?

Why would they go through all the expense of deporting him (and god knows where to) when it's a bureaucratic error?

Are you sure he hasn't just had an automatic letter asking him to leave, which is no doubt signed by Theresa May to scare people, which he can and no doubt will respond to once you've all stopped panicking.

They have had THREE letters each compounding the error of the first. I have splashed it on my front page today (search Craig Colville) and the Daily Mail (spit) and many others have taken up the case. Even though a proud Welshman he is a great bloke and a true friend (he also has an IDENTICAL twin brother who can stay!) and a secret Albion fan (after Everton!)

"The headline is misleading and sensationalist. At no point does Mr. Craig Colville face deportaion or problems. The Border Agency admitted its clerical error in describing him as a non-citizen. So there is no problem for him to remain in the UK. His wife's case is different though. She faces the same problem that thousands of other non-citizen partners/spouses of UK citizens are facing. Rules and laws apply equally to all. This is a non-story published to gain sympathy. Journalism at its sorriest.

Nsc hasn't changed. You didn't get an immediate response to your appeal but it's no better or worse than it ever has been.

I really don't know what gripe you may have with NSC, but whatever it is, get over it, just because everyones not jumped on to your plea, and I have read early NSC in it's fullest form and whilst it may have had a community sprit, I would suggest the community spirit is as much and probably much more than it was when the membership was no where near the numbers it is today!

Why didn't the UKBA advise her she could apply for UK citizenship in her own right because both her grandparents were British ?
