For those of you red faced and livid with this latest bit of historic introspection with the inevitable 'that's just wrong' response; how would you like to wake up in the middle of the woods with Simon Jordan trying to tongue you?

Susannah Reid didn’t seem to mind........oh, that was Parrish!

Move the Snow White ride to Glasgow, then it'll be a different kiss altogether, no consent needed there.

I mean she could just stay cast under a spell I suppose and never wake up. Not sure how that works for the end of a fairy tale.

I'm struggling to get energised about this particular front in the culture war to be honest. I'm sure the same people will love it all though.

In the original Grimm's story she was NEVER woken up by a kiss. That is all Disney...

The original story is a little bit less palatable for a younger audience though, in that the evil queen orders the huntsman to kill her and bring back her lungs and liver as proof she's dead. The huntsman kills a bore instead, brings those organs back which the evil queen then eats raw.

Perhaps kissing an asleep 14 year old then marrying her isn't so bad afterall?

Hmm. Well not sure that will work for the kids. And what about the animal activists there will be questions about how the bore is killed. Was it done humanly?
I think they need to make her 18. Have a pre written contract in place which the Prince needs to read first and sign before he gives her a simple peck and let’s her live her life free from his clutches

On a website teeming with bores, your post is likely to be upsetting

You mean the story has changed to accommodate differing and shifting cultural norms.

I find it difficult to understand why people get so angry about the changing cultural landscape. it's not new and it's not surprising.

I am sure those who enjoy the creepy prince and the 14 year old scene can find a VHS of the Disney version . . . Or read about Prince Andrew in the papers.
