upgrading Sky advice needed

Was wondering if anyone has had a similar situation as mine. I have had a full Sky package for around 2-3 years now. Its the basic box and not + or HD+. there seem to be regular offers of free newer boxes to those taking out new packages, but for those like myself it seems that I have to purchase a new box which is kinda pricey. The most recent advertised offer specifies its for current subscribers and i wondered if anyone has gone down this route having only had the basic box. I have not rung Sky as yet as last time I spent seemingly hours going from one ext to another, with no real information being forthcoming

that sounds cool, did you have a package that you cancelled or did you start from scratch. does sound a good idea

No, I was starting from scratch. Im not sure if theres any restrictions on 're-subscribers'. You can normally sort something out with them if you ring them up as well, tell them that you want the same deal as new customers and you'll upgrade or you'll take up Virgins offer.

Upgraded my basic box to a HD+ for a one off £30 and took on the HD package at tenner a month. wangled a couple of months free HD so saved £20. Once i had convinced them that loiving in a flat i did not need multiroom! it was fairly painless
