Key points about Jackson:

1. Only 26.
2. 36 international caps for Canada.
3. Scored some vital goals in getting Norwich promoted in 2010/11.
4. Prem experience.
5. Scored an average 2 in 5 in the lower leagues.

Based on the stats you'd think he's capable of delivering 10-12 goals per season, which matches what CMS and Barnes have been delivering. Personally, I'd sell CMS and replace him with Jackson, and use the CMS proceeds to help finance some real quality at centre back.

Wise words. (And if not centre back, then left back)

Yes admittedly we were all set for the announcement that he had signed for us (AFCB). Of course now we all knew he wasn't going to sign anyway.

Bit of a 'doh' moment! But the German lot have just been promoted to the Bundesliga, so fair play to him.

Will he regret turning down that loan move to us after all? At the very least might have put him more in the shop window than he is now...

He did want to come on loan, but Grant Holt got injured, so Hughton thought he didn't have enough cover to send him out on loan for the rest of the season. Gus didn't want to sign any loanee that could be recalled at 24 hours notice.

Numerous clubs now in for Simeon Jackson. Seems nailed on to come back to England. But which team is right up in the air.

Simeon Jackson was a missed opportunity signing for the Albion on more than one occasion in recent years. Well worth a punt IMHO. Still only 26. Could be pound-for-pound as sound an investment as Ashley Barnes.
