god this is starting to get desperate. I'd rather we didnt sign anyone rather than the Palace scatter gun approach to signings. I'm quite disappointed that Oscar with his Spanish contacts hasn't got any Spanish flair in and Burke seems to have over estimated our appeal to players.

Wait until the last day scatter gun will be pointing everywhere, can't believe we have had bags of time to replace both players that have gone but yet once again we fail to deal and leave it to a last minute poke and hope

Agents holding out for the best deal, for themselves.

That's how it works though, it's brinksmanship by all the clubs involved. No club wants to sell a key player unless they've got a replacement lined up, hence Bridcutt hasn't gone to Sunderland yet.

On the last day there will be a frenzy of activity as usual, Jim White will spontaneously combust, there will be reports of sightings in all sorts of places and snippets of hugely exciting player news.

And then we'll sign Dean Hammond.

A deal can't be very close if he is playing for Charlton tonight.

Oh. Improved deal at Charlton it is then.

Are we running a scheme whereby we get a cut from the agents that use 'interest' from us to get new deals ???

If he does play tonight it would indicate that at least he's not suffering from the Bridcutt Syndrome.
