Being lazy, as I'm sure someone (AZ Gull maybe) will have done a thread already, but I'd like to know both where AND when our players are playing next week.

Thinking especially of Baleba, Mitoma, Pervis, Pedro, Minteh and Lamptey.

Europeans not so much of an issue.

Whilst playing on the Saturday gives us an extra day's rest when compared to when we play Villa, it's one less recovery day for when we play Forest...

I was going to post about it tomorrow as I'm expecting several squads to be named then but so far Pedro (Brazil), van Hecke and Verbruggen (Netherlands), Adingra (Ivory Coast), and Ayari (Sweden) have been called up. The only players confirmed to be missing out so far are Wieffer, O'Riley, and, of our loanees, Buonanotte and Barco.

The players most at risk of not having enough recovery time before the cup tie are Pedro (facing Argentina at midnight on the 26th), Gomez (would face Colombia at midnight on the 26th), and Estupinan (would face Chile, again at midnight on the 26th). Late on the 25th, Ayari faces Northern Ireland (at 6 pm), Baleba, if called up, Libya (at 7 pm), and Gruda, if called up by the Germany U21s, Spain (at 7:30 pm).

The circus starts again. I groaned when Pedro was called up. Awful timing.
I'm also lazy so it would be useful to have a comparison of any players Forest will lose too.
Murillo will also travel with Brazil, though having never played for the national team, I'm not sure if he'll actually get any minutes.

For the Forest game, I'm kind of looking at it thinking, worst case if we left out Joao Pedro and played Welbeck and Georginio up front, that's fine. If we left out Gomez for Wieffer or Hinsh, again that's fine.

It's not being able to play Pervis in that worst case scenario that complicates everything. You could use Lamptey at left back, who's done very well there, but then, you're using Hinsh at right back.

Getting Veltman back soon would be a massive plus

But isn't Lamptey away too somewhere......?

Assuming he's called up by Ghana, he'll have games on the 21st (against Chad) and the 24th (against Madagascar), which gives him just under five days to prepare for the quarter final.
Ghana has the same timezone as the UK too. Brazil is three hours behind, but that with the long travel is a problem. I'd certainly play Hinsh and Lamptey as full-backs, and put the South Americans on the bench

Is the England squad announced tomorrow?

Webster, Hinshelwood and Welbeck could all be in contention. They all deserve it imho.

Yes, but sincerely hope none of them get called up, they need wrapping up in cotton wool for the run in.
Of course Jack will make the U21s if he doesn't make the full squad.

This is the way to manage your international career versus your domestic career (guess the player):
