There’s some FANTASTIC* unofficial artwork appearing on Etsy and elsewhere, but I can’t help thinking some ‘cease and desist’ orders are gonna be sent soon.

As some non-official T-shirt creators found in the past, there’s only so long the club will tolerate its name, logo, player likeness, sponsors and photography to be replicated for profit.

More subtlety required, creative folk!

* NOT talking about this one… :lolol: https://nortr3nixy.nimpr.uk/show...fect-Christmas-gift-for-any-Brighton-fan-quot

No trademark/copyright infringement in that one.

I imagine quite a few of them don't break copyright - if a passing artist paints a picture of the Amex, for instance, and sells it I can't see the club having any grounds to act. The personalised aluminium water bottles with the seagull crest - and with tops attached - are taking the piss though!

The cheap panini stickers lot have a brilliantly badly drawn albion set!

There are some decent things on notonthehighstreet. Too.

Yes, that's great - and probably legal (pastiche/not passing off).

Had a quick look. They have some copyright guardians there, I think.

For example, illustrations of players don't feature logos. And nothing is sold as "BHAFC" or "Brighton & Hove Albion".

Well, no. You can't copyright the look of a building (for photography, illustration etc) in the UK.

But equally you couldn't legally call the print "The Amex" or "Brighton & Hove Albion", so clued-up artists just use "Brighton" and/or "Falmer", neither of which are trademarked, of course.

Anyone got anything to add?

Jnr's (17) bedroom has had a full refurb and the walls are looking empty.

Never thought to look for BHA stuff on Etsy for some reason, I bought some "Star Wars" prints on there last year.
Just browsing through and have just realised where my wife got my BHA beer mats Christmas present from!

This thread wasn't supposed to promote copyright-infringing goods (which, like these, will inevitably get pulled). :ffsparr:

I’m still looking for the giant lighthouse in Newhaven :)

Where did you live in East Sussex?

The one in Heathfield is even more surprising.
