Unlucky Withdean debuts

This season at Withdean, at least three players making their full debuts have had either personal nightmares or nightmares as a team. For example:

Mark Yeates made his debut in the 4-1 defeat to Bristol City
Brentford keeper (sorry don't know his name) sent-off for a professional foul on Jake Robinson on his pro debut
Kelvin Wilson scores OG on full debut on Saturday

I don't really know what sort of point i'm making, I just thought of it when watching the snooker just now.

Yeates was the only decent player in the match v Brizzle Shitty. I remember one moment where no one wanted to take a corner - Yeates volunteered, even though it was obvious he wasn't supposed to be taking corners.

he aparently got man of the match. although i think that was an attempt by his new team mates to cheers him up. :lolol:

Still love to see Yeates in the blue and white stripes again. He was a classy player in the making I thought. Anyone else agree with me?

:D

Back to Withdean debuts... (not sure if it was actually his debut but) Will Packham's Withdean performance against Preston was certainly a career-defining moment.

:nono:

and how about Aiden Newhouse's Withdean debut on that never to be forgotten day in 1999 when he came home and gubbed Mansfield 6-0.

He scored twice and looked a half decent player.

never again
