The atmosphere at Oakwell for Barnsley v Leicester was fantastic today. When the Ipswich equaliser was on the scoreboard the whole place went wild. At the final whistle it was all a bit of a farce as no one knew what was going on. However, tonight in TGI Friday's in Batley, they had Sky Sports News on. When Denis Wise was being interviewed, me & Matthew started shouting 'loser' at the TV. The looks on everyone's faces was priceless:lolol:

He he I can imagine. My ex and a few old colleagues will be drowning their sorrows in despair tonight.
I did know a few decent Leeds fans as well and I do feel sorry for them as individuals.

Don Revie and Billy Bremner will be spinning in their graves tonight.

Realistically that is one of the 2 automatic promotion places taken next year.
People thought that Crewe would do that this year.

Depends how many of the current squad actually play in league 1.

Mind you, i am sure they will be able to assemble a squad more than capable of getting out of this league at the first attempt.

People said the same thing when they were relegated from the Premiership.

They're just as likely to slide down again to League Two.

Never ceases to amaze me. A "BIG NAME" makes the drop, and people automatically install them as a shoe-in to bounce straight back up. That club is rotten to the core, they have a SHIT manager, they'll be playing in a vast stadium with 13,00-14,000 rattling around, and they'll probably lose whatever half decent players they have got now (I can't see Healy sticking around for 3rd division football). I suppose the bookies will inevitably have them as faves, and they're not usually far wrong. But I certainly won't be betting on them going straight back up.

Like i said earlier up the thread, i am sure that they will be able to attract the right players, just for the fact of it being Leeds United, whether they will be able to gel together and put up a promotion campaign, we will have to wait and see.

totally devastated tonight. And the chav scum who invaded the pitch at the end should be locked up in a lunatic asylum or used for medical research. Pricks the lot of them.

Leeds twats :tosser: just trying to get the match abandoned no doubt. Fair play to the ref, waited half an hour for them to come out and play the final 45 seconds.

Leeds should start on -10 for that.

For all what everyone thinks of Leeds and their supporters, the overwhelming majority of people posting on their message board, condemned the behaviour of those going on the pitch and stated that they were ashamed of them. I understand that quite a few of those who went on the pitch, received instant justice when they got off, from those who remained in their seats.

I think that Leeds are virtual certainties for promotion next season.

Slightly sadly for them this must be just about the most popular relegation issue ever.
