Is that 13 goals for Undav in 15 games? Another assist tonight as well brings this total to 9! For comparison, Trossard scored 14 and had 7 assists in 34 games in the season before he came to us from Genk.

My knowledge of the Belgium Pro League is pretty minimal, is it usually so open that a lot of teams have a chance at winning it? Or is this unheard of that a promoted team could realistically go for the title?

7 points clear at the top after all clubs played 15 games . That’s hugely impressive for a promoted team . It’s a shame the CL qualification is sooo complicated in the Belgium league with all their play off games at the end of the season .

Historically Club Brugge and Anderlecht wins 3 out of 4 titles with the rest split among other reasonably big clubs. Surprises are rare though Lierse winning in 1996 or 1997 was a bit of a shock, but this with USG is on another level.

Plenty of the strongest clubs are in a bit of a phase where they are currently building new teams so it is good timing for USG and hopefully they can win the league.

Starting to take a lot more interest after this incredible start so would like some more info on the league.
Do winners qualify for Champions league or Europa
Appreciate TV money nothing like PL but is it split equally

If you end up first in the league in regular season you qualify for Conference League (unless you cant reach CL/EL) and play-offs 1. If you win play-off 1, you also win the league, and qualify for CL group stage. If you come 2nd in the playoffs, you qualify for CL qualifiers.

TV money is not equally split. The big five (Anderlecht, Club Brugge, Standard, Genk and Gent) gets somewhere between 70-80% of the money.

Thank you. All looks a joke. Unbelievable you can win the league and not qualify. How do they justify this as fair.
Also TV split seems very unfair.

People genuinely thinking we’ll get Undav or Vanzeir on the cheap because of Blooms involvement still makes me laugh. They look like they could be top, top talents.

It’ll be worse when the BeNeLeague kicks off 10 Dutch & 8 Belgian sides sharing the £450m TV revenue. Mind you, don’t think the Dutch have agreed yet! Union really need to win the Pro League to have any chance of being one of the eight Belgian sides.
