Anyone else still waiting to leave?

Been in the car now, 30 minutes and haven’t moved an inch.

Too many pedestrians today without the trains. The cars have been waiting for the people to clear.

We went up through Coldean Lane from the uni car parks. Was slow going , but went through the back roads to avoid the queue with the road works there. From getting in the car was back in Worthing after an hour. Was much worse getting there

Probably the worst I’ve seen the Uni car parks for a long time.

We were in c7 at the Uni. Don’t think I’ve ever known it so bad. Nothing moved for ages so we went to the Uni bar for a drink and returned at 9.15 and cars were still queuing out of the car park and up the road out. At least by the time we got to the car the queue was moving and we got out quick.

With a bit of planning, you’d think the exit could be managed better. Should it really take and hour and a half to clear a car park. Why not make it one way for an hour after the game and hold what little traffic is heading onto the campus back until the football traffic has cleared the site. That way they could open up two lanes exiting from each car park.

I get it was the strike etc but at £15 for parking, it should be better managed. And not a marshal in sight after the match.

This was a complete shambles.
Think the Car Park C might have been oversold.

Some Members of1901 Club who have spaces in this car park where told to go to car park 8 and arrived very late for the start

Maybe time for the club to re-evaluate over-reliance on the train service, which just get progressively worse. Maybe establishing a more extensive network of P&Rs throughout Sussex might bear dividends?

Is everyone out of the car park now or are some hapless souls still stranded in there?

The a27 bus service was a bit of a mess as well. Not helped by regular service buses refusing to pick anyone up and sarcastic and sometimes aggressive police officers. One officer was superb, some of his colleagues less so.

Cost would be the issue, I imagine.

I've only ever had positive experiences with Seagull Travel on the occasions I've used them, but it's now £22, including booking fee, for travel from Worthing. I don't doubt that's the going rate in the current high-cost environment, but I personally can't justify nearly £50 to get my son and I to and from Brighton, and I imagine there are a lot of folk who are the same.

Beyond that, is there capacity for many more coaches at the Amex. Again, I've not been in the coach park for a while, but whenever I have been, it's been absolutely rammed.

I had a 'season ticket' with ST the last few years ... but had a few hiccups with them last season, so that and the increased prices meant I didn't renew. I have vowed to get to all games 'FREE' this season ... cycling, walking, bus and if I really have to ... train.

Took ages to get out of Car park C after the Chelsea match. Stewards not letting enough cars out of the road.

Much frustration and time the club got a grip on stewarding the cars
