Unexplained holes in cotton clothing . . .

Okay - a female friend of mine has been experiencing this phenomenon - mainly in the midriff area of t-shirts.

There is no evidence of moths or mice or some other creature. Any ideas?

It could be the t-shirt rubbing against work surfaces as the holes are around the navel area.
