Under what circumstances would you put your children up for adoption?

Obviously, it's not a decision taken lightly but what line would they have to cross for you to send them packing? I'm quite easy going with my children but these are big no-nos:

1. If they support any team other than Brighton. If, God forbid, they EVER stray into Man U territory then I have truly failed as a parent.

2. If they ever wear their trousers or jeans halfway down their arses.

3. If they ever decide to vote Lib-Dem. I've mellowed with age and they can vote Labour if they want but Lib-Dem is still out of the question.

4. If they use text speak in emails to me. I work on a '3 strikes and you're out' rule.

5. If I ever catch them feeding pigeons.

I don't think that's too much to ask

Can you have your kids adopted once they are over 18? I only ask because voting Lib Dem would surely require that they were this age. I have to say I voted Lib Dem, but I don't think I'll make that mistake again.

I'd add:
6. Moaning that the wealthy and privileged were increasingly the victims of snidey abuse.

How wrong you are. We disagree about music all the time. My 12 yr old loves really dark dubstep, I can't stand it. He thinks my love of fey Scandinavian folk music is naff and only recently we were arguing about the best Jungle Brothers album. (I think Straight Out The Jungle was their best, he thinks Raw Deluxe.) Actually, music is probably the only things where we often disagree.

Given I dont want kids, birth would be sufficient reason for me. Either adoption or in the canel 'cuddling' an anvil.
