Obviously from someone like me I would say Squeeze. Maybe not underated, as the critics generally loved them, but somehow they never really generated their talent into record sales.

It seems unbelievable that they only had two consecutive top 10 hits (Cool for Cats and Up the Junction).

The majority of their singles reached 45 and under (co-incidently the name of their first greatest hits package).

My Avator shows Difford & Tilbrook on Brighton beach in now what is Fat Boy Slims house

Ash are totally underrated in my opinion.

They are one of the best indie rock acts and have consistently released decent albums through their career without the recognition they deserve.

I'd say they consistently release thoroughly average albums and receive more credit for it than they deserve, particularly as they're underwhelming live.

I'll go for Neutral Milk Hotel - I know their album is treasured by those who know and it's hard to argue they're underrated when From The Aeroplane Over The Sea got 10/10 on Pitchfork, but I still feel that not enough people know about them.

Which is why it was my opinion. I tihnk all of Ash albums have been excellent and not given the credit they deserve.

Word has reached me that Northside are touring again in December!

'Shall we take a trip down memory lane...?'

Flowered Up.

I think Northside should do a baggy fest. Have 'em supported by Paris Angels and the Bridewell Taxis with Flowered Up in full Barry Mooncult madness mode to finish the night.

Just for a minute there I was 18 again and down the Zap with a can of Red Stripe.....

Was that the one where the crowd biffed an inflatable can of Red Stripe all round the club? Mad night...
