Gus got sent to the stand & fined for kicking water bottle over, and so did Wenger at Old Trafford.

The FA are ridiculous.

Indeed. This, yet they tolerate an endless parade of tossers as chairmen, some of whom have been stopped from dragging their club into the gutter only by being jailed (for offences against Dame Anna Neagle, to quote writer and football fanatic, Peter Cook):

Man throws pie on pitch, gets banned for 4 months

Man kicks water bottle that actually hits someone, no problem.

Deliberate act against an accident?

I wonder whether the supporter who was hit by the bottle is a bit embarrassed by all this kerfuffle, i would be. But I suppose the FA have to be seen to be consistent, and UE will accept that, pay his teeny fine, and that will be that.

He accidentally kicked the water bottle? Or kicked it because he was annoyed his team drew with Brighton?

I'd heard that he was angry about having his flask removed and thus took it out on another vessel containing liquid, I could be wrong?

Shouldn't think it's anything to do with the supporter, the FA seem to have taken this on by themselves.
