Tart, no different from a fair few of our cheating players, and yes we do have a fair few believe it or not blinkered ones... I find it strange so many people are slating Reading for their antics, we are no different.
Absolute Rubbish- he was close to being mom yesterday for me.
Worked his knackers off, won the ball and bought in others into the attacks we had in the first half and STILL didn't get the service in the box he needs to score.
Len gets (at a guess) 1 in 8 decisions going his way. 7 times out of 8, the ref waves the complaint way. This has happened in every game Len's played this season. So, whatever the rights and wrongs of whether he's diving, a big girl's blouse or is being unfairly clattered and fouled, the fact is that we, he and Oscar have more than ample evidence from multiple refs that says he's not going to get the decision going in his favour.
If you carry on doing what you're doing, you'll carry on getting what you've got! No-one's happy with what we've currently got; ergo, either he has to change what he's doing, or the tactics have to change to ensure that he's not put in the position where he is repeatedly dispossessed and on the floor with the opposition's CB coming away with the ball.
It's a vicious circle. Build up a reputation of being a fearsome warrior and you'll get the decisions going your way. Go down every five minutes and chances are a proper foul will be missed.
I'm sure referees do some studying and talk to each other.
Love him, but he does need to grow a pair at times. His over reaction to the nudge was a bit embarrassing - he acted like he'd been shot (or hit by a golf ball from WSU)....either way he needs to look at his boots as he seems to slip over at inappropriate times far too regularly.
As with CMS it seems at times he seems more interested in winning a free kick than winning the ball. It's like the response to not being awarded a free kick is to keep throwing himself to the ground until he gets one rather than working on the assumption 'right, the ref isn't giving anything, gonna have to fight for the ball'.
Quite often yesterday he'd wrap his arm around the defender, then our fans would go nuts that the ref gave them a free kick for it, since they seemed to expect it would be our free kick.
