I can see Leo back at the albion some day, but I agree there are three or four Prem clubs that would fancy his services, in particular Swansea, West Brom and Sunderland.

A striker that intrigues me is Spanish striker Jonathan Soriano. He's been a goal a game over four years with Red Bull Salzburg who, coincidentally, are managed by Oscar Garcia Junyent. Now 31 and having won three domestic doubles in a row surely looking for a fresh challenge?

IMO the most overrated striker/player we've had in the last 22 years of me watching the club.

Have people forgot how average he was with the ball at his feet? He seemed to spend most of the matches rolling around on the floor whinging at the ref. Murray is twice the player Ulloa is. I'd even go far enough to say Hemed is better too. Price tags mean nothing these days. The only reason Ulloa's worth £10 million is because players like Andy Carroll are worth £35 million.

Hughton doesn't seem stupid enough to sign a player like Ulloa. If/when we get promoted this season, Ulloa will suddenly become below the standard required to play week in week out for us and yet we would have splashed out £10 million on him! I imagine we'll be looking at strikers like Sinclair and Dembelle of Celtic for that quick nippy centre forward we'll be craving once we're up. Ulloa seems a nice bloke, but that's simply not enough these days. We're no longer the club who clapped the likes of Kerry Mayo and Jake Robinson week in week out for being, erm, local, loyal and crap.

We should talk to Toronto about Giovinco - ok he's tiny - but a speedy genius. Would be just the style and quality we need.

We've moved on. We have Glenn and Tomer Hemed to score the lions share of our goals now. Yes we still have a need for another attacker, but that should be someone a lot more mobile and with more pace than Leo.

Just because the team has clearly moved on, it doesn't mean they've taken the fans with them.

The only upside of this story is the No Imagination Crew will be giving us a day off from Ashley Barnes. (just one day )

No we don't. We have Murray and Knockaert to score the lion's share of our goals now. Reckon the return of Ulloa in January might well have been the twinkle in TB's eye when asked the January striker question at the informal fans forum recently. Fingers crossed eh?

I don't know why you have a downer on Hemed. He'll score a lot more goals than Knockaert this season.

Yeah, I overrate a player who scored a goal every 2 Championship games.

It really has to be one of the best bits of business we've ever done in terms of what Leo did for us in the stripes and what he has done since leaving us!

unbelievable comments on here about him.

He is now a proven premiership player who has played for the PL champions and kept out of the first team by an England forward (plus a couple of other internationals) . If we are in a position to get promoted he would be a great investment a) for the push during the season b) for a newly promoted team. Agree we need a small/fast striker as well but so say he is not good enough is absolute nonsense.

If as reported, the fee was £10m, plus £1m for each of the next 2 seasons (bonus due for Leicester remaining in top division at end of those seasons), then I think those bonuses would be included in the 'total fee paid' for this purpose, and thus we would only get a sell-on % of the sum above £12m.

Not for me, well not at £10m for sure. Good player, there's a bit of rubbish about his abilities from some on here, but overpriced and too similar to Murray and Hemed to justify the expense. Target in January has to be a different type of forward one with pace who plays on the shoulder of the last man rather than as a CF...

I loved him when he was with us but we paid the right price for him and did good buiness selling him when we did and I wouldnt want to pay the price being suggested now.

As regards a No 10 that is what we need to be looking for as AK will never fill that role he is a wide man first and foremost.
