Another futile vote for Porridge. Ronnie Barker's greatest work. The writing was far better than Blackadder IMHO.

Porridge was just perfect. The writing and acting couldn't be bettered.

Blackadder is let down badly by the disasterously unfunny, poor written, badly acted, catastrophic first series.

Tough on this, but Blackadder just edges it I'm afraid.

Both made me laugh but the purile school boy humour of Blackadder tickled the funny bone a bit more than Porridge.
