If you want to leave, you'll find a way to leave. I doubt you were born in Sydney for example. If you want to stay it's because you like it, warts and all. Always a good laugh when someone proudly tells you they've lived in Luton all their life but it would be much better without the immigrants, who have also been there all along.
It's the same thing as people moaning about Brighton because it's a bit dirty, arty and woke. It's always been dirrty, arty and woke. Go and live in Romford if you don't like it. And vice versa.

i was born in Luton funnily enough , went to school in Worthing via Kilburn....Brighton is a shit hole for no apparent reason , no one gives a **** and for the rates people pay it's a bloody disgrace frankly....that's my tuppence worth.
Sydney's nice though, right? I liked it. Lived in Crows Nest for a year (I know, North Sydney, lah de dah). Very different to Brighton. I would have stayed but the wife said no. I've managed to deal with moving back just fine though. I quite like how liberal and grubby it is. Mickey Flanagan said "you can feel the ambition falling off your shoulders with every step" about Brghton but I wouldn't live where he does.
