Fantastic series with a brilliant finale. Completely underrated, great writing with some excellent performances.

Dr Alan Statham was a performance that at times had real echoes of Basil Fawlty.

Going to vote for Green Wing as FT will obviously go through, so I am backing GW as the runner up. Got the box set at home and it is brilliant. As someone has previously mentioned, it is a hidden gem.

I recommend all of these. They may not all be your cup of tea, but I'm sure you would enjoy at least one of them.

Green Wing was quite funny, very very occasionally slightly annoying. Black Books - never watched it - must have clashed with something else. Fawlty Towers - classic comedy, pretty funny, but I wouldn't be crying with laughter. Lead Balloon - entertaining, no belly laughs though. Towers gets the vote.

Ah, too late. Still, could have easily gone for Balloon - loved the vacuity of the daughter and boyfriend.

Yup. It's a great show. Big fan of Black Books too though. My favourite two comedians in two shows up against Fawlty Towers. *Sigh*
