Uh Oh - Sami blames the players for wild west defending

Way out west
Trouble is that when the opposition attack breaks down and Stockdale has the ball, both full backs are already on the half way line and as wide as possible. This reduces the ability of our keeper being able to roll the ball to them and start a controlled offensive and keep possession. He is having to kick long which reduces our retention rate by a half, at least. Our two centre backs being already marshalled by the two opposing attackers.

The long ball never went past their no.12 playing at right back at any time during the game.

Really? Greer got twisted inside out for the second goal and i thought Stockdale could have done better for both goals. Two sloppy goals to give away but credit to the Charlton striker.

We restricted them to 3 chances all game: the 2 goals and a header that was put wide from a corner. I agree with you on Stockdale, but you can't really blame the defending for him not having the best of games.
