I used to actually believe that YouTube was a serious source of information.
Then a few people on here started posting stuff which was complete crap so now I don't trust anything from YouTube as being the truth.
However my problem is that this isn't fact, it's not even a well established theory - it's more of a hypothesis. The origin of life could well be to do with a property exclusive to earth, we just don't know at this point.

That's assuming that the key ingredient of life is physical, there is no evidence supporting that notion. Besides, our understanding of physics may not be as comprehensive as it seems.
If you read a book which was complete crap, would you then not trust books?
The medium is not the issue, it's the content which is important.
But that means you have to be discerning and exercise judgement, which takes effort.
