I used to actually believe that YouTube was a serious source of information.

Then a few people on here started posting stuff which was complete crap so now I don't trust anything from YouTube as being the truth.

YouTube only has 100% correct information. I know that because I read it on Wiki.

However my problem is that this isn't fact, it's not even a well established theory - it's more of a hypothesis. The origin of life could well be to do with a property exclusive to earth, we just don't know at this point.

As the laws of physics appear to be the same everywhere, that's highly unlikely. Certainly not a theory I have read anywhere in any of the books & research I've read.

If you read a book which was complete crap, would you then not trust books?

The medium is not the issue, it's the content which is important.

But that means you have to be discerning and exercise judgement, which takes effort.

That's assuming that the key ingredient of life is physical, there is no evidence supporting that notion. Besides, our understanding of physics may not be as comprehensive as it seems.

Still absolutely no reason to think Earth is any different to anywhere else.

OK I made the effort and my judgement is that the content has little truth within it.

What was it that made you conclude that the content had little truth within it?

Don't forget to have your foil hat on when you watch it!

Don't worry, by page 10 we'll have the usual low resolution images of crop circles taken with a camera that was free with 3 boxes of shredded wheat in 1991....

What does this have to do with the stupid comment about videos? And I wasn't even talking to you.

This is not the first time that you have made an intellectually fallacious argument.

The "argument" you have made here is called Ad hominem tu quoque ("you too"). You suggest that I have acted in ways which are inconsistent with what I have argued. Whether or not that is the case has nothing to do with the validity of the argument. Stop being such a moron.

As for the crest, I know that a user on E-bay claimed to have created this crest. His deletion tag seems to have gone though, and I am not sure why you consider a random E-bay user to be good source of information?

I was going by this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Mi5_2.gif

This work is in the public domain worldwide. This is because either:

It is a photograph created by the United Kingdom Government taken prior to 1 June 1957; or
It is an engraving or photograph created by the United Kingdom Government and commercially published more than 50 years ago; or
It is any other work created by the United Kingdom Government published more than 50 years ago.

See Copyright, Crown copyright artistic works and HMSO Email Reply.

It is categorized under: UK Government images

None of this is really relevant to this conversation though is it?

I know its easy to just bring this up whenever you want to try to discredit what I say, but it get's boring. Try sticking to what we are talking about, it will make you seem less thick.
