The plus is we have seen the weak links in the middle - which are Barkley/Lingard and we have players in Foden/Maddison/Winks who can come into the squad and improve it.

I actually thought Barkley did well but agree I’d have Winks in this side ahead of any of the starting midfielders. Shame we’ve gifted them these goals - need to sharpen up. We weren’t anywhere near this risky or poor passing out on the WC. As for the poster calling this team ‘prima donnas’ - absolute nonsense. They lost a game of football - deal with it - they are not at all like England sides / squads of old. Silly comment. Did very well to qualify above Spain and Croatia.

Not our greatest performance under Southgate but I will say there are some positives. Nothing really between the teams. Shame the Dutch time wasted badly and the ref was picky as ****.

Very unlucky in that a few CM VAR call potentially cost us the win. Also their goal was so lucky as it was a mid kick going well wide. If I was being very picky I’d say Pickford has to stay on his line after making that great save rather than running at the ball as the chance of him getting a clean hit on the ball weren’t great - and he didn’t. As for Stones - cost us both goals by being very stupid. Still love this New England. Fans absolutely outstanding as ever. Keep the faith.
Must say, I totally disagree with you.
We are showing today where we really are. We stumbled through the easiest rounds of the World Cup that we could have had and still ultimately failed. We are a very average International team with a team full of millionaire prima donas that will be quite happy they can **** off on holiday now!
The Dutch are an average team with 2 or 3 decent players.

No doubt the normal idiot fans will now tear up a very nice city and embarrass us all further!

I’m excited to see Maddison in this set up.

Barkley just lost the ball to much, plus the error for goal.

I’m normally patriotic with you about all things England.

Not tonight:
1. The Dutch including their youngsters have proved far better technically.
2. Stones, Walker, have made so many huge mistakes. We could’ve lost this by an avalanche ... the Dutch missed a load of chances throughout.
3. We resorted to hoofs out by Pickford, whilst the irritatingly good Dutch always seemed to pass out from the back.
4. Hughtonesque passing around the back, in slow-mo.

Hopefully GS is open minded about change and doesn’t make the mistake of his predecessors in blind loyalty to a cabal.

If people in Brighton can be Man U and Liverpool fans, I reserve the right to be English and not to give a shit about Southgate and his poncy young England team. I support Brighton and Brighton players.

Well **** off from the England thread then you look at me ****. So boring NSC still having this ‘I don’t care about my country but I’m gonna let everyone know on the England thread’ bollocks.

When will we learn to only pass the ball out of defence when we have good possession? Basics. Hell we could be so much better. They have just given this away and wasted two and a half hours of our lives that we won’t get back!

Stones and walker who combined to cost us a World Cup final the culprits again.

Walker only playing as Trent was in the final thankfully.

Stones however is a liability every time he steps on the pitch.

Kane looks like a donkey too.
