It is your perception that I have had great pleasure from it.By citing italian police you are showing your ignorance by being taken in by the british media from where I assume you formed that opinion.Having said that I've never heard that accusation levelled at the italian local police.I was in Rome in 1997 when england fans went berserk and whilst back in the UK the police were given all the blame I saw different myself.I am just saying Russian and England fans should be sent home even if it is a minority fighting because there is no other way to stop it.As I said because of the ISIS threat the french police have enough to deal with and should not allow themselves to be distracted. Can you imagine trying to control a crowd when the're fighting. How easy for ISIS to slip through.Besides that fans from other countries plus locals who's towns are bring kicked in deserve better.

One example, English Prem team playing Italian Seria team in Italy, Italian police in between supporters, the Italian supporters rush at the English fans, the police look on and then baton the English supporters when they defend themselves........loads of video footage.
As i have stated the English supporters in Marseille (some) have been causing trouble, but tear gassing all and sundry, leaving the scene to allow the Russian fans to wreak havoc (how many Russian arrests) and then coming back to tear gas again....allowing the Russians in the stadium to infiltrate the England supporters....well very similar to how the Italian police act. Thankfully our Police would stop the violence and not take sides, or in your forces case....look after their own.

You're picking one example from Serie A then generalising.Do you know the full facts?I doubt.Did you know that in Rome in 1997 england fans were causing trouble in the city? No.You just heard that the italian police started trouble.Every time England fans fight abroad people like you look for every way to excuse them and that's the trouble. There should be a zero tolerance attitude. As soon as they start trouble they or any other fans then they should be sent home especially with this competition and the threat of ISIS.There are scores of police trying to control thugs when infact they should be dealing with security from terrorists.Correct?

Oh yes,English Hooligans drink too much and start a fight and luzz plastic chairs around. Euro Ultras (and now Russian thanks to your exporting theory) , wear bandanas over their faces, gum shields and have flick knives.

Your sarcasm implies yet another deluded person.

Am I? Then I'm still waiting for that hiding.Last time I checked England fans have been fighting for the first few days in France so I guess that makes me right and you wrong.
So you didn't see the Russians, French, Germans, Poles, Northern Irish and Ukrainians fighting too.... or do you selectively blank out that news according to your bigoted views?

Well firstly I've been seeing england fans fighting abroad since the 80s.As for the other nationalities in Euro 2016 I've only read about Germany and the Ukrainians on here and seen zilch on UK news.Strange that.If they have been fighting then send them all home.Whats your point?

For those who weren't there and whose prejudice is jaw-droppingly naive, read the article at the bottom.

Oh, and this:

Incredible.

Russian thugs attack Eng fans.

French gangs attack Eng fans.

French police cage and tear gas Eng fans.

(granted Eng fans did fight back in a futile attempt to defend themselves-this after Russians, in league with French gangs, attacked one man with an axe and stoved in another's head with a chair leg).

Russian hooligans, inside a stadium under terrorist threat based, state of emergency measures (as in no police, useless stewarding) manage to smuggle in and fire flare guns and fireworks, trample French women and children to get at England fans and beat up a man in a wheelchair.

The 99% of law abiding normal people who just like to watch their team, maybe sing a song, sit in the sun with a beer etc (which fans from ALL countries do BTW) get the blame.

If the Scots dress in colourful military outfits and belt out how much they hate the English, they get a chuckle and a wave. If the Irish get steaming drunk and dance a little jig in the street or have a sing song they are perceived to be amiable lads enjoying the 'craik'. Germans singing "Football's Coming Home" the list goes on. All countries have variants of this theme. It happens everywhere with every team's supporters. Yet Alan Shearer and Gary Linkeker feel the need to issue their views on how 'disgusting' England fans are.

In Nice , there were violent incidents involving Northern Irish and Polish fans, it kicked off in Lille between Ukrainian and German fans today.

After all this, what do UEFA do? Threaten expulsion of the England team.

The end result?
(A prediction i hope i'm wrong about)

Uefa have basically issued an invitation to hate-filled thugs from other nations to provoke one more incident against innocent England fans which some in the media will once again misrepresent. Cue: people getting badly hurt (or worse?) and the expulsion of England from the tournament.

I really hope i'm wrong, but for us England fans who do obey the law, loath violence, enjoy sampling other cultures and befriending fellow football lovers from all over the world, have saved and spent hard earned dosh to watch, let's be honest some terrible England performances, this is the ultimate kick in the teeth. Maybe those Russian 'Ultras' who prepared their murder attempts in Marseille by donning balaclavas and gum shields could lend me theirs while Uefa deliver, what looks increasingly like a vengeful coup de grace.

I hope i'm wrong.

I actually agree.

To cause maximum fear and loss of life terrorists would want to set off an explosive device in a place where there is a high concentration of people, somewhere like a nightclub, a tube station or football stadium. I can only assume that the French police were so stretched coping with the situation in the town, that they couldn't man the stadium, leading to explosives being brought to the match by the Russians and the lack of response when the Russians walked through the segregation and attacked the English.

The security inadequacies are concerning, and I just hope that they'll learn from mistakes made yesterday.

Not the real one
Considering England fans have actually been fighting in France then I guess you pretty much are the naive one.

You obviously have some weird obsession with England fans. I was beginning to give you the benefit of the doubt and call you naively deluded. Now I think you are just plain ignorant bordering on xenophobic.
