He is useless though, not sure many would disagree with that (gets helmet). As a leader you have to get out and lead, not watch in a corner

Totally useless. The EU vote is just showing him up for what he is further. This referendum should be above party politics.

DAVID Cameron’s own security minister has accused the EU of being unsuitable to deal with the threat of international terrorism.

John Hayes is encouraging voters to back Leave on June 23, saying Brussels’ ability to fight extremism was compromised by the “grand scheming” of bureaucrats.
The Tory MP said the best way of fighting terror was to leave it to “people doing the job in hand”.

Writing in the Telegraph on the referendum he argued that attempting to consolidate counter-terror powers in Brussels was ill advised.

“The effectiveness of our security co-operation is forged in the urgent operational day-to-day battle against terrorism – in defence of our shared interests,” he said.
Responding to his comments Theresa May said the minister was entitled to his view, but she did not agree with him on this issue.

Too simple for me. Why should an EU migrant be given preferential treatment over a non-EU migrant?

I'm not specifying. The argument was that we reduce immigration by leaving the EU, I argue that we won't because we need people to fill the jobs. Two million EU nationals currently work in the UK, so if they are all instantly denied the right of free movement and employment in the UK, that is a lot of jobs to fill. It is also a hell of a lot of work permit and visa applications to process, especially if we have a convoluted points-based approach. Obviously the simplest approach is not to deny these people the right to work here at all, and we have a vote on that in a week and a bit.

Corbyn really is a waste space. The big boy Brown is rolled in and in one speech shows what a big political beast looks like. Corbyn is wasting everyones time

Yep, all the talk of leaders post-referendum is focusing on Cameron, but it will be the perfect time to get Corbyn out. I liked him at first and gave him the benefit of the doubt for a while, but he has been pathetic in this referendum season.Time to go.

Indeed - he is showing all the leadership of someone who didn't actually want to be a leader. If the vote goes Brexit politics will be VERY interesting!

Seems to be great reasons to leave and great reasons to stay, wonder how many people will just play a lottery and go with whatever happens like me?

As a Corbyn supporter it has been so frustrating watching him miss so many open goals in the past month or so. The Tory party are tearing themselves apart and he has not registered one decent hit on them yet

I fear you've hit the nail on the head with the second part of your sentence. Frighteningly, there appears to be a collective neurosis that, regardless of the advice of many people just wants to take a risk. It's our own version of Trump-mania. Seems we want to jump into the unknown before the Americans do. It's not a calculated risk. It's not calculated at all.

I just find it amazing how anyone's been able to filter out all the crap from both sides and made a choice .

The apparent smugness of the remain brigade with their big-hitter promoters and 'status-quo' (apologies Francis and Rick) believers will not, I fear, come and bite 'em on the arse but having had a solid chat with a learned City bod on Saturday then hopefully many lessons will have been learned and a few swords might well be bent due to the weight tumbling upon them......

People who don't share your opinion are not necessarily idiots.

It's hard. I agree.

For me, the EU is far from perfect, but I see nothing but trouble in isolating ourselves from the EU. It scares me. We have the opportunity to be the strongest economy in a block of countries that can take on the USA, India, China, but instead we want to throw it all away because we blame the EU for all our ills.

We get the politicians we deserve in my view. We have ample power within the UK parliament to introduce legislation and thinking that can improve our society - fair pay, education, health, defence, infrastructure - it's all still under the influence of UK politicians.

Just think of it of just about to sit down at the table for dinner, ok, you have 350 peas (350m) those peas are all taken and then you are given 100 back, which means you are 250 peas down. Now before you stick your fork in them you will have to give many away to who WE say can eat them.......now hang on before you tuck into them potatoes and steak.......they need to be shared around as well......not much of a meal in the end is it.

Your words, not mine.

When you have a public prepared to ignore the advice of 90% of economists, then it becomes a sort of collective neurosis.

Those peas you give away though are an investment. They help develop growth.

To give some perspective. You'll splash out another 1800 peas on defence, and 2500 peas in health.

I agree that some of the peas we give away (and it isn't 250) will be wasted. And even if it's just 1 pea, it's not good enough.

Give peas a chance.
