To make football more exciting, do away with the playoffs and have a straight 5 up/5 down from every division.
Oh, and Champions league places for winners of the league and FA cup, not for teams that have won f*** all for several years

Also if this was to happen, why the f*** would anyone want Bolton in it?

thats the joke of it. if they were to go down this path, the logic would suggest a franchise system. With so many other nearby clubs, Bolton would be right out of it as they try to fit in some regional/county variation.

Quite.

Manchester United, Manchester City, Blackburn, Preston and Burnley are all more likely to get an invite than Bolton.

somthing like that. missing Leicester though and one of Colcester/Southend to cover Essex. probably Reading would make the cut too, large affulent area covered. starts getting tighter and you wonder if two wlesh clubs or both the sheffields whould get in. Why would Burnley get in ahead of Blackburn, which have more history in the PL. and so on...

would be a mess.

You're right. And it would be so crucial to get in, if someone like Blackburn were left out in favour of Burnley, they'd probably head straight for the courts. It's a decision they could not afford to lose.

Absolutely bollox idea.

Any idea that sees us rule out relegation will just lead to horrendous stagnation, and an incredible amount of dead games as the bottom half of the table have lost sight of a play-off spot, but know they can't get relegated.

What happens if a team sneaks in, punching above their weight, Doncaster, Colchester, or perhaps us. If they don't believe they could ever mount a challenge to get into the Premiership 1, then do they just bob along happily, never spending much, and never giving the fans much in the way of football, because they know there isn't a trap door, and don't fancy the risk of mountinga promotion push.

It just breeds mediocrity.

Hopefully Bolton go down this year, should shut their twat of a chairman up. Would feel sorry for the fans but the bloke is not interested in football and is out to secure as much money as possible so relegation would be superb
