Two things I wish the club had told me BEFORE I went to my presentation last Friday

1. I wish the club had explained that people attending earlier presentations could "reserve" seats for friends attending later presentations (i.e. put seats around the ones you have chosen "on hold" to stop others from buying them).

2. I wish I had known that just one person could turn up and buy 45 tickets by themselves WITHOUT the need for all the other persons having to either book or turn up to a presentation.

If I had known either or both of the above before Friday a) I wouldn't have had to take an afternoon off work to attend and buy my own four tickets as my mate could have got them for me along with his own four, b) we could have sat with friends who had attended earlier presentations rather than be sitting a fair distance away from them, and c) I could have got seats closer to the front and centre of where I am currently sitting.

Oh well, its done now but perhaps the above information may help some of you who don't have presentations for a few weeks yet.

Could your friend(s) at the earlier presentation not used his/their +3 to get you and your mates STs?

I was at presentation and I do not recall any "reserving" being available or discussed!

Unfortunately not as they were using their +3 for family who are priority 4 existing STH's and dont have February . If we had known before Friday that seats could be reserved for others (or that he could have taken our applications with him and bought loads at the same time then we could have got this organised earlier.

If you can then that is ridiculous, what if you reserved them then decided not to buy, others would then lose out.

That's my point, certain people seem to be aware but the majority aren't and therefore haven't been able to take advantage of it. It hasn't been discussed as I don't think anyone was aware of it before Friday!

I think this is worth an ask the club for anyone still to go??

Indeed, I wonder how many have been reserved and then released at a later date, arguably meaning better tickets are available to people attending later presentations - albeit in small numbers I would imagine.

I seem to recall on another thread, you can highlight the seats during your purchase which reserves them so no-one else can buy them whilst you are completing payment. Not 100% sure though, it was a late night one.

We asked about reserving and they specifically told us that you couldn't. Those seats which showed as "reserved" on the screen just hadn't been fully processed, so I'm afraid you're talking bollocks.

That's OK I was thinking more along the lines you buy 5 and say oh please reserve the other 5 next to them for my mate who will buy them when he comes to a presentation in six days time.

45? That doesn't sound right?

Ken Brown asked if anyone was "buying big quantities", one guy said he was getting 18 and one said he was buying 45. Ken asked Paul Rogers if this had been arranged prior to the meeting and Pal nodded. Ken then asked if those two guys could wait till the end before buying their tickets to allow those present who were buying just the threes and fours to get theirs sorted first.

That sounds more like it, thanks

Notters explained it better than me!

That is exactly what was/is happening; I know someone who attended at 12.30 on Friday who bought his tickets and was able to reserve 6 for firends attending later presentations!

If it's pre-arranged with the club, and it's for people who would have been due to have booked their tickets (but just couldn't make it), I'd say that's OK.

It sounds like it's not just for any 45 people.

If that's not the case, that sounds shite.

I understand from someone in D block yesterday, the 45 tickets (I believe were actually more like 20) were pre-arranged with the club prior to the presentation and this is all purely due to the fact all 20 travel to games together.
