Who can remember going to the Odeon when you had to go up the stairs?
I can! I used to go to the odeon when at college, and none of the people I went with remembered those steps and the escalator. They though I was making it up!

The Duke of Yorks is generally good fun, but no good for the big budget noisy films. The acoustics in there aren't that great.
Unless it's just my hearing...
Some things have moved on forever, a film we were about to watch was cancelled the other week at the DOY's because the file was corrupt.
Someone else mentioned the other day that the Crawley cinema now has an IMAX screen, does anyone know how much a viewing costs there.
Correctamundo. Its ok for boy and a baguette filmed in B&W where two people speaking French (but with english subtitles) discuss ham and smoke in a cafe. A metaphor for someone finding their life after being in the wilderness. Girl cries. FIN.
.
I totally agree, especially the big special-effects extravaganzas. But sod the current 3D gimmick, I still think its high time we got proper HD in our cinemas.

Yes indeed saw all the STAR WARS there and also the Nicholas Hammond Spidermans, I remember the escalators also used to freeze up.
Anyone remember the ABC, then Cannon in East Street? Now the all you can eat chinese (I think) and the casino saw Superman the move there and probably the Spy Who Loved me.
I, on the other hand, will be marauding along like a slathering rabid goon throwing women and children behind me.I'll probably have a mince along to see the new Bond film at some point.
B&H needs more cinemas, I can't think of any other city that has so few screens. In fact the Brighton - Worthing stretch is a bit of cinematic desert...

ME !!! God I had forgotten that. How long ago was that?
The new cinema will be a great addition to the North Lanes.
Indeed it will. Just need one in the South Laines and all will be well.
There used to be one in Lancing - the Luxor, but that closed down many moons back. If I won the Euromillions I'd quite like to buy it and renovate it.
