Saw one land on the edge of the roof before game started.

Looking up from WSL I thought they looked like wagtails, although difficult to tell in silhouette from a distance. The wagging tail was a clue though.

Seriously, there are pied wagtails at the Amex. They love hoovering up all the crumbs from the pies.
You’ll often see them in service stations on motorways for the same reason.
