Bizarrely the weather thing IS true! Almost everytime I travel from Brighton to Eastbourne the weather is better on 'The Sunshine Coast' than further west.

As for the airshow, was there yesterday for the Royal Marines hand to hand combat display which saw one of them lying motionless on the ground at the end of the display, two army medics and four ambulance crew still working on him twenty minutes later when we left. Anyone know what the problem/outcome was?

He busted his knee. Said on the news that it was not serious but he would not be doing a lot for a few weeks.

Another good thing about Eastbourne.

It was the home to Johnny Miller 96 Not Out (JM96*) quite possibly the best cricket fanzine to come from Eastbourne in the 1990's.

..mind you having lived there for a period of 1978 and 1990, cannot think of much else...though I agre on The Lamb!

It appeared on Friday that the percentage of old folks was a lot lower than I recall from previous visits. Maybe there's been a cull.

Eastbourne is one of the more pleasant coastal towns in Sussex. A rose amongst the turd holes that are Worthing, Hastings, Littlehampton and Bognor.
