Hughton "expects" anyway at least.

"CH expects Murray and Hemed to be fit for #BHAWBA. Brown could return to training next week, Baldock in the next two weeks. #BHAFC"

Kayal back "after the international break" (the next one)
Bong "could return to training next week"

But, but, but Baldock was back in training a whole month ago: http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/alb...oal_feast_unexpected_against_Atletico_Madrid/

Madrid was also one of those rare occasions, usually involving AK, where a player ruled out in the press conference/ website blurb. appeared Lazarus like on the teamsheet 3 days later.

"Anthony Knockaert (ankle) and Sam Baldock (calf) are the only expected absentees "

There's a bit more detail in the website update.

"Glenn Murray trained with his team-mates on Thursday morning and Hughton hopes to have the striker available for Saturday’s game.
Tomer Hemed has been assessed since retuning from international duty with Israel, and Hughton also expects the striker to be fine for West Brom’s visit."

Based upon that press conference, Murray will not be in squad for Saturday. History repeats.

We will have Hemed maybe.

Wonder if they came to that conclusion from CH when he said Balfour was in part training..whatever that is :moo:

Yep, to be fair, Hughton was quoted on August 9 as saying:-

Sam is back in part-training. We are still expecting him to be out for a little while.

and on August 15 said:-

He is not one at this moment that's going to be close. He had minor surgery on his calf in the summer. We were never sure how long it was going to take. We hoped it was going to be sooner, but at this moment we still anticipate it being a fair period of time.

On August 22 the Argus reported that Baldock was out
...for at least another month..
and then that he was unlikely to be available until October.

All seems to be pretty consistent to me.

Why are people getting their hopes up? What is being said means absolutely nothing whatsoever.

I reckon we wont see either of them.
CH isnt going to tell Pulis that both our strikers are injured and we dont have a striker for the match.
Its all mind games

Nah not with our Chris.

I'd love for a Hughton v Mourino match to be competitive.
I bet Chris' straight up honesty, (reverse mind games) would do so much damage to Jose he'd end up in a straight jacket.
