How very DARE Russian firms spend 'months training for this'. They should have been MADE to spend the last nine months cramming their faces with lard and Carlsberg like our homegrown northern white trash.

I am sure this is a joke post given London based clubs have already had supporters singing club songs and in the middle of it all

We only sing when we're winning. Ooh it's not fair they are harder than us. We never do that.
Theres 2 people who could die you idiot, I dont know if they were involved or innocent bystanders but its still unpleasant to make such flippant comments and we should all be condemning their attackers.

It does look as though several things are happening. Some of the English fans were having it large over the past few days, the French didn't know how to react and so just kept tear-gassing everyone. Then some local and some Russian thugs tried for some real violence. The police, after 1998 assuming that England are to blame, tear-gassed the English fans again.

Having just seen the horrific on-line footage of the attack and based on the original post from a French media source - hold judgement on whether it might have been Russians for now.

I go down to that part of the world one a year, though it's usually Nice and Monaco.

There are a lot of Russians who live down there, so wouldn't surprise me if they are actually ' locals' and not fans travelling from Russia

The idiot would believe there are not English fascist half wits looking for trouble.

Looks horrendous in Marseille, such a shame for those wanting to follow their national team peacefully. I guess playing Russia in Marseille was always going to be a recipe for disaster.

The media finally beginning to report this accurately now.

Russian right wing scum, in organised mobs in the side streets, cowardly brain damaging anyone who happens to be English. These gangs have actively boasted about their planning for this on the net for months.

What a shame that the French and UK Police 'spotters' obsessed with the English problem, driving the English into side streets witn tear gas, where the organised Russians waited.

Telegraph and others reporting it was active hooligans from Moscow, supporters of Lokomotiv, with the help of a Parisian football gang.

Im not denying that but Ive been to a couple of world cups and a european championship and those elements were few and far between, its just as likely that those injured were caught in backstreets trying to escape.

.... Into the side streets, where the Russians were waiting pre planned.

Thank god for the more intelligent policing in England, where pre planning and segregation inside and outside the stadium, and in city centres, is carried out out very professionally.
