You see, meerkats, the fact that it was found in Sandwich....I am very disappointed by the lack of imagination displayed by the BBC headline writers on this one.

It was found dead in a dog-waste bin. I dread to think what you put in your sandwiches.

I think someone nicked a penguin from a zoo last year as well.
These incidents seem to happen fairly regularly where the animal in question has usually appeared on tv/cinema and some twat decides they want one as a pet

Oooh yes, remember back in the day when lots of people bought terrapins in the hope they could pretend to their kids they were Ninja Turtles?

Most of them got flushed away in the end I think.

...a lot were dumped in ponds and rivers, unsurprisingly they were then able to grow to their full size free from the confines of a fish tank...terrapins can grow to the size of a dinner plate, or bigger!
