I think it's a bit disappointing that the general attitude to these blokes seems to be "good on yer mate, unlucky son".

personally i hope the feckers get sent down for a long long time. Terrorising innocent people with handguns is no laughing matter. To those who have said 'good on 'em - shame they got caught' how would you like it if a gun was pointed at your head? or your loved ones heads? with no idea whether they would pull the trigger or not?

spot on. if someone held a gun to your mrs mum or sisters head you would not be happy and worshipping them as chaps. if it was some scumbag doing it for their handbag people would be screaming for the birch.
